The drive from El Tunco is two hours through Sonsonate and up into the cloud-forest.

You eat lunch in Juayúa, walk the murals in Ataco, taste coffee in Apaneca, and you are back at the resort for sunset on the beach. Bring a real camera in Ataco and warm layers for Apaneca; the altitude drops the temperature ten degrees from the coast.
